Bake cookies, muffins, cakes, and even cook up fluffy scrambled eggs and omelets!
Instructions for a simple scramble (by Bob Goldberg):
2 level Tbsp VeganEgg™
1/2 cup ice cold water
1 tsp vegan butter (enough to lightly oil pan)
Melt vegan butter in a pre-heated medium-sized skillet set to medium-high heat.
Whisk or blend “egg” ingredients until smooth.
Pour mixture into skillet (“egg” should sizzle in pan) and immediately begin to scramble.
Scramble frequently and evenly with a spatula until eggs are firm.
VeganEgg™ takes longer than regular eggs, so we recommend 6-8 minutes or until fully cooked.
Season to taste and enjoy!

Earth Island, our facility where we produce Follow Your Heart products, is the hub of these efforts and we have an entire department focused on advancing our sustainability initiatives, including the elimination of waste, using alternate sources of energy, choosing responsible ingredients and packaging, and community involvement.
Our Zero Waste Commitment
We strive to be a leader in sustainability and are very proud to be the first plant-based manufacturing facility in the US to achieve Platinum Level Zero Waste Certification by Green Business Certification Incorporated (GBCI). Since 2016, we have diverted over 98% of our waste from landfills through recycling, composting, reduction, or reuse.
When we moved into our current facility in 2003, we knew then that it was important to run our manufacturing with sustainable processes in mind. Our first project was installing over 750 solar panels on our roof, which at the time generated about 100 kilowatt-hours (kWH) of green energy per year. In our early days, we actually generated more energy than we used and we sold excess back into the city grid. Over the years, our facilities have increased and with each one, we covered the roof with panels and now have over 2000 panels generating over 300,000 kWH of green energy per year.
Education and Achieving More
We do our best to be sustainable in our production facility every day and also strive to engage our employees and community in our efforts. We offer free electric car charging for all employees, provide “Meatless May” lunches to all employees, and organize employee volunteer events to help local non-profit organizations like Food Forward, Heal the Bay, and TreePeople.
